Forum Upgrade Complete

Welcome back.

Forum is now upgraded to the latest version. Expect some more downtime in the week when I link the user database here with RGM, which will also get linked with FLM & PEN once they are upgraded.

Lots of nice little features added, have a play with them. I especially like the mentions. Like this;

@ThePacFish likes penis.

He'll get a notification telling him to read this post and then he will know that he likes penis. 

The pick'ems app is dead in the water. Not been updated since we installed it back in 2013. No work planned on it, but if it does get updated, we'll be adding it in. I am looking at alternatives. 

The awards app I'll be looking at this week as there's a couple of variants we can use (I think), would like some continuity with it though, although we may need to start from scratch with it.

The forum uses whats called a "responsive" theme. So its the same design, regardless of size of your browser or what device you are on.

Davo, im using chrome, is there a way to make  the latest post  in a forum standout on the main page, like have in in bold or something until i have read it?

If you want to get someone's attention, use @DavoteK etc

basicailly the @ lets them know ie @helimachoptor

Not sure what you mean. If you click the icon next to the thread title in new content or the forum display, it will take you to the last post you read, anything after is unread.

so ive read your post, and its not highlighted in bold, but the other 3 latest posts i havent read but they look the same as yours

Click on the green icon heli puts the others as read, I discovered that trying to get into most recent post on a forum

yeah i know i can do that, but if im keeping an eye one thread, the icon goes green if other threads get posts

Not sure what you mean. If you click the icon next to the thread title in new content or the forum display, it will take you to the last post you read, anything after is unread.

Use the New Content button. It will tell you when there's new posts. Search for the new content thread I posted as well, how to tweak your filters so it always shows up all unread content.

Now I am use to it, I really like the new forum upgrade. My only thing is when you press enter it

jumps

two lines, anyway to stop this as I don't always want paragraph spacing

Next update allows a few tweaks, one of them being the new paragraph or new line in the post area. 

Some other superb changes coming as well.

Are those little Icons coming back that used be under people's name saying what team's they managed?
Used to be handy like when some posted on a trade block you could see what team they were over if they didn't post who they were.
