MaddenPFL - Structure for Madden'16 And Beyond

With Madden 16 due in the next few weeks, now is the time to announce the structure of MaddenPFL for the coming season

Dual Console
MaddenPFL is now dual console and will run competitive Madden setups for both Xbox One & PS4. We tested the water with the PS4 setup on Madden’15, but our plans for Madden’16 and beyond are solid and we’re looking to cement a user base that will not only create some good leagues/franchises, but will also add to the community as a whole.


Sim & Arcade Competitions
Arcade I hear you say? We all know that Sim franchises are the bread and butter of MaddenPFL and encourages the gameplay that we strived to provide when we launched MaddenPFL all those years ago, but, Sim gameplay and the time frame for each match doesn’t cater for all madden gamers. We are looking to introduce an Arcade setup (franchise or league TBA) where we will have shortened matches aimed at fun (those who glitch, cheese or play repetitive football in this will not be welcome on MaddenPFL). This should provide a good platform for newcomers to the game or the more casual madden gamer to experience the game within our community and hopefully look to make the jump into the Sim setups we have running.


Sim Franchises
With the PS4 setup expanding in to Sim franchises, we’ve rebranding the franchises to make them more uniform should we create an exact replica of an Xbox Franchise on the PS4.

• Pro10 (formerly Xpress): 10 minute quarters, 2 games per week (Mon-Wed, Thurs - Sun).
• Pro 8 (formerly UKML): 8 minute quarters, 1 game every 5 days.
• Fantasy: 8 minute quarters, fantasy draft, redrafted every season, 1 game every 5 days.
• GM Franchise: If EA pulls their finger out and don’t balls this up, this will be running again.

Arcade Competitions
The likelyhood is that this will be a head to head league, although we’ll assess the numbers and what they are after and decide from that. The games will be 20 minutes in length with a relaxed rules TBC. If you don’t have the time to spare of an hour each week this is the league to be in.

This will run on both Xbox One and PS4.

Wasn't gonna bother coming back but I'm impressed with the new structure and appreciate the efforts of others to make this better going forward so it's pulled me back from the brink!

Gonna stick with the first league I ever entered though.
