The following rule comes into effect immediately in all franchises under the PFL banner, in relation to games played against the CPU

When playing a CPU game, the maximum winning margin is 30 points. CPU games are not there to pad your stats or gain large amounts of xp. Specifically you are not allowed break any NFL single game records against the CPU.

Failure to adhere to the 30 point rule, or blatant examples of the above, will be punished in an appropriate fashion by the leagues commissioner

Are we now supposed to know all the single game records prior to playing the CPU?

I'm fine with the 30 point rule but the single game records is a bit puzzling.

just pray you dont need a 64 yd field goal with a strong wind behind you to win the game as time expires, as youll have to go for a TD instead

basically you don't pass to the same guy more then 22 times in the pro, or throw for over 768 yards in a game or 7 touchdowns....

Not at all. Here's some examples of single game records as per the NFL

Rushing yards - 296

Rushing yards QB - 183

Passing yards - 554

Passing TDs - 7

Receiving yards 336

If you are even getting near these it probably involves some kind of XP cheesing!

i'd like some clarification on this.

i show you my stats for Brees

brees_zps14555feb.jpg

so see week7 was a cpu, which i lost 31-35 i think?

anyway broke the 500yard with brees am i now viewed as a cheeser or what? (at least that's what it sounds like according to Joe)

i usually just play a passing game because i can't play a running game

1) You didn't break the record

2) One of the most important rules we have is the mixing up your playcalling rule. There's 2 parts to this, there is using different plays and not sticking to one 'money play' and the second is that you must use a variety of both running and passing. Ideally, this would be a 50/50 split, ie if you run 20 times you pass 20 times

While this is the rule, it is also common sense. The first time you come up against someone with half a brain they are going to shut you down completely, you need to do both to keep people guessing what is coming next

If you had 39 passing attempts I'm going to guess you had less than 10 rushing attempts, which would definitely go against the rule

If you are struggling against the CPU play however you want to play, whatever way you think gives you the best chance of winning.

People shouldnt get punished if they win a close game for however they choose to play... However if you are 30 points up ant stat whore i agree action should be taken... Like i said common sense is key here

So if I beat you by throwing to MJD out of the backfield 20 times you're ok with that Sam? Duly noted.

Dr volki, you and a few others fall into a certain category - that is you are new to the game. There us a difference between learning the game and stat padding. The Admins know that

So no Passer Rating of 158.3, you have to throw a incompletion (or interception in Sam's case)? :shifty:
