this site looks brilliant, pretty new to madden, only started playing 12 in february, im a steelers fan mainly cos i support the penguins in the nhl so thought meh may aswell stick with the pit lol im ashamed to say it but ive only ever watched 1 nfl game being this years superbowl, never really had an interest in the nfl before but now cant get enough of it. anyways hey guys n i look forward to playing with some of you guys.

Hi welcome to the site, have a look round and sign up for a league, the one linked to is a 1 game a week, 7 min qtrs. Nice a easy going league as far as time goes. Good for newer player to cut their teeth on ;)

Welcome to the site mate.

I'm relatively new to the NFL too (only started watching beginning of last season) and I'm hooked like yourself.

You'll love this community. We have Fantasy Football sign up's going on at the moment and we play Poker once a month etc. More than just a Madden site.

Don't be shy in getting involved and putting your name down for stuff.

cheers for the welcome guys, signed up for a few things but mainly waiting lists so just gotta bide my time :) thanks diode man i signed up for that league, really looking forward to it. how do the fantasy leagues work? is it the same as the sun dream team type thing but for the nfl?

I am not that familiar with the Sun Dream team, but I think in that one player can be on several teams.

In the mentioned Fantasy Franchise, that is not the case..

Everybody will get a NFL team without players. We will then select players one by one in turns, e.g. if you have the very 1st pick, you will select a player, say Tom Brady. Then he is on your roster, and unavailable to the others. Once everybody has selected a player, it is your turn again (at the 33rd pick, 63rd pick and so on).

Basically it is just a normal NFL franchise, but all the rosters are completely mixed up.

Does it make sense?

Yes, what Eminent has said is true.

We are also doing an auction draft. Where each player is up for auction and you have a certain amount and pick your team based on bids won. Again, the same player cannot be in two seperate teams. Much better than Football Fantasy comps like the Sun mate.
