You might have seen the handy hint regarding viewing new posts. if you haven't.

One thing to note is that fixture threads are excluded from displaying as new posts. If you want to know when a thread relevant to you has been updated, then you can follow a post.

Go into the thread and click the 'follow this topic' button (see image below, black arrow). When the thread is updated, you'll get a notification at the top of the forum display (see image below, white arrow).
