mics really are needed if a problem occurs will save alot of hassle i wear mic just incase a problem crops up with gameplay in certain situations and yes it will happen so yes a mic is needed . there is no better way to defuse a situation than talking to each other rather than spending and wasting time sending messages and keep pausing the game and at times get booted . really what is the harm in having the mic plugged in..
