Davo, im using chrome, is there a way to make the latest post in a forum standout on the main page, like have in in bold or something until i have read it?
Not sure what you mean. If you click the icon next to the thread title in new content or the forum display, it will take you to the last post you read, anything after is unread.

The forum uses whats called a "responsive" theme. So its the same design, regardless of size of your browser or what device you are on.

Welcome back.
Forum is now upgraded to the latest version. Expect some more downtime in the week when I link the user database here with RGM, which will also get linked with FLM & PEN once they are upgraded.
Lots of nice little features added, have a play with them. I especially like the mentions. Like this;

The pick'ems app is dead in the water. Not been updated since we installed it back in 2013. No work planned on it, but if it does get updated, we'll be adding it in. I am looking at alternatives.
The awards app I'll be looking at this week as there's a couple of variants we can use (I think), would like some continuity with it though, although we may need to start from scratch with it.

With Madden 16 due in the next few weeks, now is the time to announce the structure of MaddenPFL for the coming season
Dual Console
MaddenPFL is now dual console and will run competitive Madden setups for both Xbox One & PS4. We tested the water with the PS4 setup on Madden’15, but our plans for Madden’16 and beyond are solid and we’re looking to cement a user base that will not only create some good leagues/franchises, but will also add to the community as a whole.
Sim & Arcade Competitions
Arcade I hear you say? We all know that Sim franchises are the bread and butter of MaddenPFL and encourages the gameplay that we strived to provide when we launched MaddenPFL all those years ago, but, Sim gameplay and the time frame for each match doesn’t cater for all madden gamers. We are looking to introduce an Arcade setup (franchise or league TBA) where we will have shortened matches aimed at fun (those who glitch, cheese or play repetitive football in this will not be welcome on MaddenPFL). This should provide a good platform for newcomers to the game or the more casual madden gamer to experience the game within our community and hopefully look to make the jump into the Sim setups we have running.
Sim Franchises
With the PS4 setup expanding in to Sim franchises, we’ve rebranding the franchises to make them more uniform should we create an exact replica of an Xbox Franchise on the PS4.- Pro10 (formerly Xpress): 10 minute quarters, 2 games per week (Mon-Wed, Thurs - Sun).
- Pro 8 (formerly UKML): 8 minute quarters, 1 game every 5 days.
- Fantasy: 8 minute quarters, fantasy draft, redrafted every season, 1 game every 5 days.
- GM Franchise: If EA pulls their finger out and don’t balls this up, this will be running again.
Arcade Competitions
The likelyhood is that this will be a head to head league, although we’ll assess the numbers and what they are after and decide from that. The games will be 20 minutes in length with a relaxed rules TBC. If you don’t have the time to spare of an hour each week this is the league to be in.
This will run on both Xbox One and PS4.

He's a commissioner on here, bumped him up myself so don't have a beef/grudge.

If MaddenPFL is gonna get back to where it should be, it needs more staff members on board.
There's still a bit of dead weight on the current team that is gonna get s**t canned, so I need people that are enthusiastic and want to get actively involved, be it franchise organisation or community enhancement. I've got plenty of roles to go around and want all of you to take a more active role in getting this place up and running again.

Don't want to derail the thread going over the same stuff but I simply prefer the shout box over a thread during NFL Sunday and I'll miss it. I hope you're right about the massive f**k off threads and ill certainly post but its failed when the shout box was closed previously.
You guys need to be trained to use the forum again to allow everyone to partake.
You're on FLM, look at the size of some of those threads for one single match. You have multiple games, all going on at the same time, if you can't get a multi page thread going on a Sunday, then you guys clearly don't care enough.

F*ck. NFL Sundays won't be the same without the shout box
Wasn't involved this Madden but very sad to hear Joe and Rigglar have stepped down.
Massive f**k off threads instead of a secluded shout box with limited involvement, even from the people in the shout box.
Get a thread going and anyone can partake no matter when they turn up, be it at the start of game day, the middle, the end or days later. Means for more LOLs if people make outlandish statements that blow up in their faces as opposed to the disposable s**te in the shout box.

A few thanks before I get down to whats happening over the next few months;
Rigglar & Joe have decided to step down from the team for various reasons. They've been very important to MaddenPFL over the years and I'm sure you'll join me all in thanking them for their efforts in their own free time to ensure you have a superb community and excellently run franchises to take part in.

MaddenPFL & Madden'16
We've pretty much had a complete staff revamp, new guys are being brought in, the dead wood ditched. There are also a few changes that will take place, some already, some over the next few weeks;
* Forum Upgrade: Sometime tonight or over the weekend, I will be upgrading the forum so that its in line with the new RGM Forum.
* Shoutbox Closure: The overuse of this has helped to form a mindset to not partake in the community. Couple that with the lack of VIPs on MaddenPFL, its being closed and everything that goes down on MaddenPFL will be available for everyone to partake in, not just those with shout box access. If this means you want to cancel your VIP, feel free.
* Site Upgrade: The site will have a lick of paint and the content brought to the forefront with a layout simplification and uniformity that we've already established on our sibling sites, Pro Evo Network & FIFA League Manager.
* Staff Overhaul: As this thread started, we've lost a couple of key guys, but we've already made moves and established a few new faces that are keen and raring to take over where they left off. BUT, I need a few more people to step up and help continue the great work that their predecessors have laid out. Interested? Get your name in this thread and what you can offer. We're looking for guys to help out from a franchise point of view as well as from a site and community enhancement aspect.
More s**t to come, but I'll close with this;
Some people have been commenting that the site isn't as active as it was or whatever, that changes from today onward. We all pull together to make this place bouncing again. We're nearly there from a behind the scenes aspect, but we will need you guys to do your bit as well.

Whats the limits on people in a round at once? Only been in a party of 4 so far.

Around 20 have completed a full round on the first course. Picking up steam nicely.
Good laugh getting a round in with a few mates. Jump on, always people playing it. I know a few are having multiple cracks at the first course.

RGM is running its first Pro Tour with the new Rory Mcilroy Golf game.
We're trying to make it accessible for all initially and then after this tour is done, we'll have a better understanding of where people are and split the next competition, so that we have a Pro & Am Tour. Pro being full on sim mode. Am being Arcade. Allows all skill levels to have a bash at it without f**king the casual user off.
Hoping for a good turnout on this as its multi console and you will be competing against people on other consoles based purely on the scores going up on the leaderboard.
It'll be a good laugh and we hope to springboard from this competition in to one off events like Ryder Cups and various other one night events and challenges.

As you may know, MaddenPFL is aligned with 2 other websites, Pro Evo Network & FIFA League Manager.
There was no real central meeting point for the three sites to convene for neutral gaming events that could encompass all three communities.
Until now.
Poker events will be run on there along with a PGA Tour competition and the long term plan of a massive Battlefront setup when its released, not to mention incorporating other things as we go. The site is bare ass at the moment and I'll be upgrading as we go, but I wanted to take advantage of the recently launched golf title and get the RGM Pro Tour underway.
Its not mandatory to register there or be a part of it, but it'll be a lot of fun.
