    Hope life is treating you well mate? Good to hear from you again.

     

    Dolphins owner (Zo So) actually did very well with them after you left. I have just bagged them in the GM League we are running this year. May tap you up for some advise!

     

    Only PS3 leagues we have running at the moment are NCAA league's I believe.......

    Howdy folks!  Long time no speak!!

     

    How are you all?  As I'm sure most of you know, I moved to Texas last year so I sadly had to leave Madden PFL and give up my precious Dolphins!  (Hope the new owner was good and treated them well!) 

     

    Anyway, I want to try and get back into playing in an online league again, although I'm not sure I have the time yet but I want to try none the less.  I can only really do 1 game a week as I work a lot these days (I work at a chemical plant and generally get a lot of overtime).  Also, I have a PS3 now (I know, I know, I went to the darkside but PS Plus!!) so do you have any PS3 Madden 25 leagues?

    :hi: Good to have you here and at least you're not a Cowgirls or Pats fan!! (too many of them!) I think the Pro-7 league has space and the Fantasy Franchise might have as well but I'm sure the relative commissioners will let you know on that front.

    haha, No confirmed allegance at the moment, I enjoyed the Redskins / Giants game the other night but haven't decided who to follow yet.

    Fantasy draft sounds daunting but what the hell, Sure I'm up for that should I head over to another thread to sign up?

    Only literally picked up the full game today but I'm happy to jump in for a few games at the tail end of your season as long as I'm not going to swing the season for anyone in the process.

    :hi: Don't listen to riverman, he's misguided. Eagles are gash!! The Dolphins on the other hand are a great team to follow! :dolphins:

    Yeah, as Rigglar said, site is down for maintenance, purely because its having issues.

    Forum is as well, awaiting a ticket to be responded to by the host.

    Gonna be a massive overhaul to correct it I think, but for now, if your browser isn't IE, you can use the forum.

    yeah I have no problem accessing the site using Chrome, it's just the homepage which isn't working but so long as I type maddenpfl.com/forums into my web browser I can get in. Cheers though! :)

    When I first came to the site this morning (maddenpfl.com) it told me it was down for maintenance and then it wouldn't recognize my username and password. However it did tell me that the forums were still available at maddenpfl.com/forums

    Don't know if it's just normal maintenance or something else but thought I'd let you know anyway!

    There's everything wrong with being a Fighting Irish Jets fan!! It's bad enough being a Fighting Irish fan (Longhorns all the way!) but then to make matters worse, you're also a bloody Jets fan!

    I should probably explain, I'm a Dolphins fan so I'm per-programmed to hate the Jets! lol

    Hey guys, just trying to get myself into the XPress league. I thought I would just tell you guys about myself and if there is anyone who can relate to my problems haha! I live in Idaho, and used to play football-injuries cut my short, and I love to play NCAA 13 and Madden 13. As of lately though, I can't stand Madden online, Everyone plays FAG D and perfect man to man with 100% squib and onside kick recoveries. Where is the SIM style of play? I can't stand losing to people who cheese me out of a win, but I do love pure competition and if I lose because it was a fair game, by all means, you deserve that win. My favorite teams are The Jets and Falcons, college ball, Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Hope to join soon!

    I have seen that a lot I have also seen Punt on FG tries and vice versa I think it could be a glitch. As in theory you can switch I dont think from a 2WR 1 TE 2RB formation unless you manually motion players.

    Yeah the game telling you it's a punt rather than field goal and vice versa was in last years game too, it's just an error with the game but it's usually pretty obvious when someone's going to go for a FG or a punt.

    I would say that you should expect a hurry up offense to be used at any time if the person on offense finds a mis-match they want to take advantage of. That mis-match often isn't found until you have run the play so you have maybe 1 second between the play ending and the players rushing back to the line - that isn't much notice and makes almost no difference in my opinion.

    Calling it when you are going to use it for a whole drive, yes, that's a good time to call it, but for the odd play here and there it's not really worth it because by the time you have said you're going no huddle the players are on their way back to the line.

    Defensive personnel should be chosen around the personnel sent out on offense with audibles to change coverages/back out of blitzes and time outs used by the defense if they feel unprepared for the next play.

    I totally agree with you actually. I don't have a problem with anybody running a hurry up offence against me. As you say, if the offence want's to take advantage of a mis-match than fine, run the hurry up and do it, you see it all the time in the NFL and as for letting your opponent know; again, as you say, there's simply not enough time.

    I think what nobody wants in these leagues is people using the hurry up all the time and refusing to go to the huddle as aside from anything else, it's just not fun to play in games like that.

    • manually controlling and dropping a player off the D-line or outside the tackles

    I'm probably being really dumb but can you explain this rule to me as I have a few plays where D lineman or more specifically DE's drop into coverage. And also, if I'm controlling a DE and the offence is running a HB screen, can I use my DE to cover the HB?
