I guarantee you the other sites would class a DE in contain as rushing the passer. Honestly, try it tonight if you get on the Xbox. Yo'll see what contain is. Offers no advantage in the passing defense.
True, I would also concur that its mainly more effective against the ground game. Why else would it be called a QB contain?

Thing is Bert, some defensive formations act like 10 men are always in cover when I play

Putting both DEs in contain isn't allowed by this rule, is that correct?
Just read this. Strange to stop it really because as far back as Madden 10, it was part of the Bears 46D playbook. both DE's were on QB contain, whilst LB's where on Man Cover Duties adn the CB's were pressing on the line. Also there was a variation on it where one DE & one LB were on Contain. Strange but rules are rules.

Why would folk edit players as such? this is beyond me!!!! the Only edit I have used in this feature is for the faceguards to change them in another fran I have, never would I think on changing a player attributes/ positioning/ handedness thats just nuts and not on IMO.
On the note of which hand, why would anyone want to change that? some of the left handed QB's cause more problems for defences due to being lefties.

the pro evo network, as it was called, was where this site had its seeds from, or to be more exact, CGN which came after the Pro Evo Network site, then IG and any other sites you have known Maddenpfl.com to be before hand, like XPL etc.
Its the real deal sovoth I use it and I 'm sure a few others do to.
As I said I have been using that for years though to fund the sites.
MaddenPFL is successful for a number of reasons, one of the main ones being its members.
We have a Madden orientated site that allows you to play games in a friendly, community driven environment. A site that enables Madden and NFL fans to engage and interact with likeminded people. A site that caters for all levels of ability and offers multiple leagues, tournaments and events – not forgetting the annual meet-up on Super Bowl night.
In order to provide all of this and to ensure the continuation of the site’s existence we need funding.
It is funding that pays for the hosting costs and software license fees as well as any future development of the site. Up until now the Madden community has existed within the framework of a bigger site and financial contributions from site members has covered our costs.
MaddenPFL now exists as an entity in its own right and, as such, we need to find a source of income to meet our costs. There are two options available - for either £5 a month or £2.50 a month you can become a Community Supporter.
- As a VIP you will have input into how the site is developed
- You will have your own discussion forum
- You will be notified of proposed developments to the site and will be invited to take part in beta testing as we develop and add new features
- You will have priority access to leagues
- You will help to ensure the continued existence of MaddenPFL.com
There is currently no difference in what you get for your donation, though that might change in the coming months.
In addition, for those who would like to make a contribution but cannot to commit to a regular monthly payment, there will also be a option for you to make ad-hoc payments. Members who make ad-hoc contributions will not qualify for VIP status.
It is a simple fact that without the necessary funding MaddenPFL.com will come to an end.
