At a point now to open a second league.

But we need to gauge interest.

Now Pro 8, some people are put off as its only 3 seasons and advances are to slow. We are toying with the idea of running the same 3/4 split as the 10, but keep the qtr lengths shorter.

Fantasy league?, sounds great, but it's a pain in the bum when people leave and it always ends up with very few people.

H2H old style, this is a good option as it doesn't really require 32 players, it can be worked pretty much to any number. It would need at the min 10 players to make it worthwhile though.

Your leagues, your thoughts PLEASE

I would prefer the old pro 8 format with 5 or 4 days weeks. If we do the same week length as in the pro 10 I would have to chose between one and I don't want to chose between one or the other.
H2H and Fantasy is not really my thing. I want to develope a real team.

Me personally 4 games a week is too much as I'm not really available at weekends

but we will do what the masses want :D

My preference would be a 5 day game week league. Not fussed about QTR length. I quite like the longer games.

I would have a slight preference towards a Pro 8 style, however could potentially live with the Fantasy Franchise. Only issue with the Fantasy in years gone by is the lack of interest and most treating it like a 2nd league and not really participating that much. If it turned into this, I'd drop it.

If we had a 1 game a week relaxed scheduling H2H league like the PFL, I could join that and the Pro 8 / Fantasy.

I love the idea of a league where the games are less long. 6 minutes a quarter or something would be great. H2h is fine by me only thing is missing the draft so it's more difficult to build a team I reckon... Curious to see how rest of you feel about it!

H2H just use's default team roster, so you'll see real world player changes week on week. Zero team building.

Maybe add different pro 8's as option so:

-pro 8 like this year

- pro 8 same advance but shorter games

- pro 8 shorter advance same length

- pro 8 shorter advance and shorter games

think those are all the options :-)

Pro8 with 5 day weeks. If you run it with the same days as the pro10 there's not enough variety

Fantasy, learn from past mistakes. I said last year that you can get around the issues by redrafting every season, keeps interest high and if people drop out you'll attract others with the prospect of a draft around the corner

I love the GM idea but only if it has a strong commissioner at the helm to push it, that really is one that you need to prevent drop outs in or it goes to s**t

Later on maybe. Don't want to over complicate it just now.

Agree. This would make a big difference. I really enjoyed the GM so hope we can get it going again.

I would even offer to run it, however I'm too busy catching Pokémon.

Pro 8. Shorter games and faster advances would be preferable but pro 8 even in the 5 day time period.

The old style sounds fun but that could be ran as well as a pro 10 and pro 8 as it seems like a good way of playing friendlies in your own time

I like the fantasy idea and re-draft after every season like Joe suggest's. What's one of the most enjoyable things on madden ... the draft

Also fantastic ways of selling the site. If you look outside the box a bit, who else is offering a fantasy or GM league? Offering something that noone else is, is a great way of pulling in new members. Lots of people enjoy the purely CFM aspect of the game, a GM league is something that could tempt people from other leagues and sites, where they may stick to their home franchise but also be in the GM and by proxy see how good our leagues are

If your thinking of running the PRO 8 on a similar advance style to the PRO 10, would it be workable to run the PRO 10 on a 3-4 advance as it is and run the PRO 8 on 4-3 advance, I only suggest this as it may make it easier for people wishing to compete in both franchise's to arrange fixtures

I think the reason for the 3-4 advance is the 4 day incorporates the weekend

if it was a 3 you'd have people struggling to play on a Friday Saturday & Sunday

Hi Everyone , thinking of getting this later in the month and restricting myself to a low maintenance one game a week ..

My twopenneth

My preference would be  to play in the old style H2H PFL league without having to worry about the Franchise.

I wouldn't want it reduced to a 6 min quarter shoot out personally , if we are going to play  one game a week then let's make it a proper game. (8 mins for me)

alternatively if that doesn't work for me  then I would like to join a one game per week franchise ...

I like the Pro 8 format and 4 day advance for the last season worked well.  I probably enjoyed the Pro 8 more, as I enjoyed playing the Raiders more than the 49ers in Pro 10.  Happy to go with the flow.
