With @Rigglar not around as much these days, I'm happy to look at doing the organisational legwork if there is sufficient interest

For those who haven't been before, it is Manchester based, normally at the Hard Rock Cafe. It generally costs a tenner which includes reserved seating, a drink and some snacks and has to be paid in advance

Pretty simple case of beers in a couple of pubs beforehand and then on to the HRC for kickoff. Plenty of hotels around with it being central Manchester

Good chance to meet some fellow coaches and have a bitch about the ones that aren't there  Plus you can enjoy me watching Geno Smith lead the Jets to the promised land

Just looking for numbers of who's interested at the moment, and for those who were there last year I heard there was some discontent with the HRCs seating arrangements, would you prefer to look elsewhere?

I'd be interested in making my debut. Would have to include Mrs Toploader as it's rare we get out nowadays as a couple.

I should be ok but we have a baby on the way in November so would probably only be me if I am able to attend.

Yeah our seats were not great this year after the ones we have had previously plus the quality of the goody bags has dropped off considerably too.

I don't mind where it is really but as i say i am only a maybe at the moment

A little too far from Edinburgh for numerous pints and an out of the blue dolphins superbowl celebration!  Sorry lads.

FFS no point in you coming then Carl!

With regards to venue, lets take it on the road  No reason we have to stick to the HRC or even Manchester. HRC this year was wink compared to other years, it's got more expensive but s**tter.

In short, name the place and I'll be there

If only there was some sort of national network of trains or roads. Would be a big help.

Have to factor in that the likes of Doc come from Glasgow, it's not just England. Manchester is pretty central in that respect

Not trolling. If Doc and the likes can make their way half way down the country I reckon southerners can make it up the country.

You wanted to come up to York for a meet up. It's the same amount of time to get to Manchester.

When this was started a few years back, the original idea was to maybe change venues yearly, however the idea of Manchester being the meet up venue, was in fact due to the centralised location for many of us travelling from either up here or down south. As Stu says, it's not a long journey and for us to travel from Glasgow takes about 3 and a half hours, it's quicker from London, plus I used to travel on the Sunday and back op on the Monday after 3 hours drunken sleep

Intend to go but need to talk it over with the wife.

She may want to attend as well which means I need to organize child care with the Family since it will be an overnight stay for us.

More to follow...

Also a venue not too far from London would be ideal considering I've never been to your fine country, and would rather not venture too far from the main airport in London.

You're quite welcome, but it will be in Manchester bud

I actually think that would be better for you really  Assuming you're coming in from Germany, there's plenty of flights in to Manchester and it's not on the same scale as London so easier to find your way around etc

Yep got to say Manchesters been working folks. Most folks can kinda get there with out to much travelling.  We tend to make a weekend of it as there's plenty to do. Also accommodation can usually be found. I say stick with the HRC too as apart from one ok night all the others were great nights.

Essentially, it's exactly the same as last year. £10 each gets us a table, a bottle of bud and nachos at HT, paid in advance

Reckon the best thing is to give a week for everyone to get sorted and pay me, then I will book next Monday morning

So if you're looking to come, you need to send me your £10 deposit before 9am next Monday, PM me for bank details  I obviously won't be booking for anyone who hasn't paid and seats are limited so I don't think it'll work ringing up later on to add more on, ie sort it this week

For the sake of a tenner, I may just pay the deposit and decide nearer the time.

Love Manchester, went Uni there and proposed to the Mrs there last year so may be able to make some sort of sentimental trip with her around that time and tag it on.
