Desync Issues - Coaches Must Read

As per that link, there is an issue with games being de synced due to controls not being the same. Therefore, until we have word that the issue is fixed, you must ensure that you use the following 2 settings in the Xpress

They can be changed by scrolling to the farthest right tab on the CFM home screen, going to settings, league settings and scrolling down to your user settings

Kicking Arc - ON

Defensive Graphics - FULL

I'll update further when there is a fix, seemingly it's something that has to be part of a title update and not server side

Recent update has fixed his these issues were also fixed

♦Fixed the cost of Man and Zone Coverage because it was too low.

♦Made sure that you now earn more for drills in game prep than normal activities.

♦OLB and MLBs can now upgrade power moves.

♦Fixed the owner mode issue with not being able to sign a player with a $0 signing bonus.

♦Fixed the issue where you could earn less than the minimum displayed for game prep activities.

♦Fixed desync issues associated with defensive graphics settings.

Just an update on this

The madden twitter account is getting loads of complaints regarding this, so it's not just us. Their advice is to powercycle your console, ie turn off and back on again, and to switch to wired if you're wireless

You can also try both turning off the camera toggle in settings, which seems to make a difference sometimes

ultra did a router reset as was his connection that was problem

Me n matty tryed 3 /4 times I had camera toggle off he said he not got kinect ,so does that mean he not got camera toggle in setting errr lost lol

Nothing to do with kinect. It's the toggle that changes the in game camera, go into the settings menu in the franchise

We seemed to get around the desync problem only to get connection lost problems.  Guess that is just a normal network compatibility issue or has anyone else had this?

The error messages often get messed up. The best method to ensure you don't get disconnected is to both power cycle your Xbox's, which means actively unplugging them and waiting 30 seconds, rebooting your router and both ensuring you have the 'toggle camera' setting set to off

That ensures you've done everything that's been suggested, if you're still getting problems then, there's not much to say!

Read on Twitter (Josh Looman) that they have changed the default to camera toggle ON in CFM.

Makes sense as I played P4ddy last night and even though my settings are for off, I had the toggle on and couldn't base align etc.

In a server-side update for Madden NFL 15 released earlier this month EA Sports claimed to have fixed a desync issue in head-to-head games within the mode. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case and the rate of desyncs only increased to the point that there was no reason even to continue playing in leagues until it was actually addressed.

Yesterday the company pushed out another server-side update that has locked to the “Camera Toggle” option to ON. So now it’s set to OFF in the settings it will be off against the CPU but not in any H2H games. Supposedly this will solve the majority of the desyncs that were taking place. While this may reduce the number of desyncs, and hopefully dramatically so, it probably won’t eliminate them completely. There have been desyncs in the past even when both players had the camera toggle turned on.

In early testing a handful of games have been completed without incident. That’s far too small a sample size to say anything definitively but it’s at least a good sign that it may be worth giving things another chance.

One complaint this has now caused relates to the d-pad being used for pre-snap adjustments. With camera toggle forced on users who prefer to have it off and utilize the “Strategy Pad” for those functions are no longer able to do so. No indication has been given whether a patch will fix the desyncs and allow people to have the toggle turned off if they so choose or if this has been deemed to be the long-term solution.

I'm a D-Pad user and have no clue what to do now, waste time and relearn my setups using the Buttons? The Pro7 starts soon and i was so excited about it, and now I have to deal with this stuff

On the buttons X/A replaces the down button on strategy pad, triangle/ Y replaces up, takes abit of time to get used to tho, I had to re learn cos of this Ea BS terrible programming

Not really Joe. What was instinct and quick changes is now wondering what button it is in the meantime you pressed the wrong button, locked onto a MLB and can't see s**t and the QB has quick snapped it. Fully enjoyed this Madden until this. Now I hate it. All totally preventable too.

No offence ( ) but It's easy to trivialise an issue when it has little or no affect on you.

 

The fact that we have to have the camera functions on and these are now assigned to controls we had learned instinctively previously without looking down at the controller is proving an issue for numerous people if the information on other forums and across the internet is anything to go by. 

 

I'm the same as a lot of people, as the offence is lining up I'm instinctively hitting the d-pad to alter things and realising that the camera angle has gone tits-up so then its a case of looking at the controller, taking the time to figure out what you changed and how to change it back and what buttons you really need in the meantime the balls is snapped and the offence has made a big gain

 

And to other this may indeed seem inconsequential if they are able to adapt more quickly or are using the alternative method in the first place but for me personally it's affecting my enjoyment of the game.

 

I'm hopeful thought that this is not a permanent thing and it will be back to normal soon whereby players are given the choice once again.

 

In the meantime....

Yea it annoys me too, trying to adapt to the new controls means my adjustments are a a lot slower making defence abit harder, I now have to think about what I'm doing instead of It being instinct, I just try to remember it as A and Y are replacing up and down, still a pain in the bum tho, who even changes the camera during a game?!?!

Yea it's muscle memory in action you don't have to think about it you just perform it and is a buggar to get out of once learned. Perhaps try spending time in practice mode just constantly hitting a and y to make adjustments until it sinks in but is very tough to suddenly change?

Quick update on the camera toggle…a permanent fix is in the works. Can’t say when it will be released, but it will allow you to choose whether you want the toggle on or off AND reduce the desyncs. Had to confirm everything before I could comment.

 

 

 

Now just a question of when.
