Recommended Posts

This weeks results are in.

Stueyh111 and PacFish are the weekly leaders with 10 correct picks

Berty still leads the overall field with 55 correct picks.

The Jets caught everybody out this week - nobody picked them to beat the Falcons.

The Raiders were a surprise result with just 20% picking them to beat the Chargers

The results are in ...

A 3-way tie for the most correct picks this week - cherriesfan; TJCallingham and xelnino9x

Overall leader is still Berty. He's clinging to top spot by his fingernails.

Interesting fact, one person scored just 5 points this week. Now you might think that's a bad result, but think of this way, he predicted 10 losing teams. Now that's up there with the leaders.

So glad I stuck with the Chargers for last night. After a bad start to the week, I was considering taking the easy option and changing my pick to the Colts.

Out in 3rd on my own now. Happy with that, especially after this week wasn't great for me. Ravens and Saints in particular let me down.

Another week in the bag and  another new name as weekly winner - Trooper UK with 13 points

Berty44 is hanging on to the overall lead with 76 points. xelnino9x (73), Si1entRaider (72), Stueyh111 (71) and TJ Callingham (71) are only a couple of picks away.

Week 7 had a couple of upset results that threw a few new names into the mix.

The Bills beating the Dolphins - 84% went for the Dolphins, 5 people correctly picked the Bills.

The Jets beating the Patriots - 84% went for the Pats, 4 people correctly picked the Jets.

The Colts beating the Broncos - 74% went for the Broncos, 7 people correctly picked the Colts (somebody predicted a tie)

Watching NFL Red Zone they said they hit the halfway point of the season when the result came in I think from around the 4th last game of the week. So I think 132 games have been played?

  • 2 weeks later...

Updated for week 10

Sprakyr008 is the weekly leader with 10 picks

xelnino9x grabs the overall lead with 101 picks, taking advantage of a relatively poor display by Berty this week.

It was a week of upset results

40% picked the Vikings over the Redskins

30% picked the Eagles over the Packers

Nobody predicted that the Rams and Jaguars would win

13% picked the Panthers over the 49ers

36% picked the Buccs over the Dolphins

Big shout out to Dr Volki for getting just 3 picks correct this week. That's some going given that it's a 50/50 chance

Question is now, for the chasers, do we go with the results as we think they will be or move to tactical picking? i.e. follow Bert and Nino, but we have to take a chance and pick a game or two opposite to them.

I know if I was them I'd be doing my picks just before match kickoff

You can't.

You are able to see what the majority of people have picked and in post #79 Rigglar advised me upon the strategy of picking as late as possible for just that reason.

as I thought

but Rigglar said should we follow you and Nino

unless a game is 100% one way there is no way of knowing what you have gone for
