Rams Lock Horns

After the disappointment of Superbowl LIII, the Rams return to action on Sunday against the Panthers.

Sean McVay is back with a new contract and with a point to prove after the Superbowl, but he isnt the first and wont be the last to be “out-coached” by Bill Belichick. The Rams had a quieter preseason than last year but still added experience to Wade Phillips’ defense with Vet, Clay Matthews and six time Pro Bowler Eric Weddle. On the Offense Todd Gurley is back (apparently) but it will be a joint (get it?) effort with Cooper Kupp also back from a busy Physio room. Third Round pick, Darrell Henderson has been making waves in preseason and with Gurley only practicing every other day they will be hoping the Elusive back out of Memphis can step up if required.

The Rams open the season in Charlotte. The Panthers may have had Superbowl aspirations of their own in mid November having started the season 6-2, however a disastrous second half of the season saw them drop to 7-9 on the year and with concerns on Cams shoulder and now foot, it has left the Panthers wondering for the future direction of their franchise. Rumor has it Cam is fit though and with a new throwing action are we about to see a bounce back to the Cam of old? Can Goff get over his Superbowl slump? Is Gurley’s knee going to hold up? Its time for the talking to stop and the questions to be answered, football is back !!

LA Rams 8/11
