Dolphins Xpress Madden 15 Review
So where should I start?
I didn't want the Dolphins, but the more I played with them, the more I wanted to play this game. From the first trades till the last draft I just felt this team belongs to me and it was much fun using them all around. So let's recap.
First pre season I decided to clear the roster with all the s**te that the real Dolphins GM decided to sign the season before. A trade with coach Riverman shaped my offense into what it is today and getting Kenny Stills on board turned out to be a great decision. (Funny enough, the Dolphins made a similar trade with the Saints later on in real life haha.) So in came WR Kenny Stills and RG Jahri Evans for OLB Ellerbe and a 2nd round pick pretty much. Stills finished his career with 354 rec, 5619 yards and 50 TD's. Monster numbers and also won the best WR award as well.
Quickly after that trade, I got rid of WR Mike Wallace to the Cowboys in return for MLB Bruce Carter, a 1st and a 4th round pick. Carter took this opportunity and won the DPOY award in his first season.
My first season went pretty smooth, made the playoffs only to lose against gooner in the Divisional Playoff game. He quickly took advantage of that my D was missing CB Grimes and won the game with WR Hunter going over 150 yards.
Going into the first off season, I drafted a solid starter RG and a backup LB and also in the 6th rnd (!!) my precious MLB Aspha Benson who became a 2 time DPOY in consecutive season. He didn't start in his rookie season, but took the opportunity and snatched 3 INT's as a backup, emerged into a starter for season 3 and ended up having 170 tackles, 19 sacks, 21 INT's and one safety in just 2 years. Absolute beast and helped me getting better at usering too.
Made the playoffs again, was a bit more difficult having kingjimi in the division too, who quickly emerged as my biggest threat to win the AFC East. Had really tough games against him and quickly became the rivalry of the franchise for me. Lost to the Jaguars in the playoffs, with a heartbreaking game, having had a fumble on a key position, on the 1 yard line.
Next off season was arguably my best one, racked up loads of picks and made the best selections I had in this version all year. Number 3 overall SS Kileon Mack was my target from Day One of Scouting and boy he delivered.19 INT's and 2 TD's in two years, also the DROY and Best Defensive Back of the Year as well. Number 6 overall of that year was LE Javares Cates who I drafted to replace Dion Jordan, had 33 sacks and was a presence off the edge from day one. Also drafted a stud CB and traded for CB Xavier Rhodes who took over the aging Grimes in the secondary.
Playoffs again, only to lose to Evo who established himself and the Chiefs as the best team in our community whole year. I had just no chance stopping Jamal Charles and the Eagles playbook that made me very disappointed and nervous all year long. Just pure hate haha
Last but not least season, I took a starters at RG, RT (made ProBowl this season) and WR. All became key parts of the team this season, made the playoffs for the last time on this version and looking to make a splash in the playoffs. Being one and done can be boring a bit.
All in all, had a blast, shout out for the great games I had with TJCallingham, Winti, Gooner, Evo, Perrin and kingjimmi. Built arguably one of the best teams in this league, luckily Tannehill emerged as one of the best QB's ( finishing with 13832 yards, 143 TD's 59 INTs ) and even tho never had that extra bit to win in the playoffs, I will remember these lads as the best.
Obviously I know this read is freaking long so thanks for everyone who read this so good luck and possibly see you on M16.
Also I would like to add a special thanks to Joe for running the show.
Lastly let me share my best highlight of the season
