Week 9 Results
(PatsUK) 27-24 (Shatners)
Our first game of the week sees us head to the AFC North where Pats was able to come out on top in a close one. Both defences had relatively good games keeping each others offences quiet for most part. However it was Heath Miller and Justin Brown who did the damage helping the Steelers get the win as they combined for 2 TDs and over 170 yards recieing. However Shatners was able to keep this game close right to the end thanks to some great defensive stops Reggie Nelson proving to be a pain to deal with, but unfortunatel came up short even though it looks like LaMichael James tried to carry the team on his back with 1 Recieiving TD and 1 Rushing TD. Btw Andy Dalton had 2 INTs.
(Cheeseburgers) 34-31 (Chiller Planet)
The man everyone loves to hate Cheeseburgers unfortunately continued his winning ways in a tough encounter between 2 similar QBs. Joe will be gutted to come up short on this one as he snatched back the game with 45 seconds to go only for that time to mean nothing as Cheeseburgers was able to go down the field and get the game winner. The game had a lot of errors from both teams combining for 7 INTs. In some sort of reniassance it was all about the TE for Sam as Adrien Robinson had a big game with 2 TDs. However the real story of the game was the fantastic performance of Gettis who had 4 TDs. Sam will be relieved to have come out with a win here as it looks like this could've been the result we were all hoping for. But nonethless that will have to wait another week.
(Joe) 21-24 (Hubble)
Hubble really turned back te clock this week and played like he was back in his 20s getting another BIG win here. Hubble has hit his hot streak at the right time and is picking up some big wins and is putting himself in the playoff picture here to win th NFC West. Hubble seemed to overcome his INT demons with Wilson having a solid game, Joe also had a solid game on both sides of the ball forcing 3 FGs but it was that last FG which will matter most. For Joe Newton had a terrific game running for some good games and throwing 3 TDs but it looks like a key stop by Hubble to force a punt was the key moment and looking at the stats Stephen Tulloch has to take some credit as he worked hard all day with 8 tackles. But the question on everyones lips after this game is what drugs is Hubble taking because his playing like a man possessed; there has been an unoffical inquiry launched that he may be taking peptides, which coming from the Seahawks wouldn't be the first time.
- The Saints continued their unbeaten run thanks largely to the performance of Toomer who had 2 Sacks, 1 INT and a TD in a 41-14 win against the falcons.
- Locker put in a great shift against the Texans this week throwing for over 371 yards and 3 TDs in a 45-17 win, On the other hand Texans QB Glass was quite shattered after the game throwing 4 INTs
- Dan rebounded this week with a win over Rizzo and the 49ers 38-21; thanks largely to the return of Reggie Bush who had over 150 yard and 2 TDs in the win.
- The McAttack bounced back in a big win against the Vikings in a rematch of last years wild card game. Winning 37-31 in a weird performance with the Eagles having a balanced rushing passing attack with 24 attempts each. McKenzie was big throwing for 4 TDs. Unfortunately Peterson was unable to match the McCoy cheese falling just short of 200 yards whilst McCoy almost went for 300 on 24 carries.
- Defence was the name of the game between Matt and Cherries this week as the two returning rivals battled out to a close on with Cherries winning 13-10. Despite Osweiler throwing 2 INTs he was able to pull out the win thanks largely to holding Charles to less than 30 yards.
- - The Surprise of the season continued with Rourke tossing Buncey to the side with a big win 34-17 putting himself in the drivers seat; thanks largely due to RG3 almost having a perfect game with 2 TDs and 80 yards running. RG I'm better than you 3 my be headed to another MVP award at this rate.

3 games to watch this week
(Sovoth 5-3) @ (BTG, 8-0)
Usually I shy away from previewing my own games in Quick Hits but I fell I need to make special mention of this one; as two of the originals of the Xpress go head to head for the last time in Madden 25. The Saints have been riding high taking some big names and getting big wins lead to one of the top ranked defences in the league. The Lions on the other hand have seen an owner who has struggled to meet the lofty expectations since he made the superbowl two seasons ago. It seems at times this year that Sovoth has lost his Mojo, now I don't know if his Mojo was stolen by Hubble but this isn't the same Sovoth we saw set the NFC on fire 2 seasons ago. But I'm not going to be thinking this game is won before the kickoff as with the team his assembled his always within a chance of getting the win. I fully expect this to be one of the tougher games of my season thus far.
(RFC Buncey, 4-4) @ (Cheeseburgers, 6-2)
I usually don't try to include the same person in the recaps and reviews but I couldn't resist looking at this game; for two reasons its the NFC East which is argubly the most interesting and exciting division at the moment and its another chance for Sam to lose which is always a good thing. Lets recap back to Week 2 of the season; back then Buncey was able to steal a win from Sam with a clutch catch from his WR in the final moments. Now with injuries to his WR core Buncey finds himself needed someone to step up. Sam on the other hand has gone 6-0 since that result and would be looking for the big win here as revenge and to continue his Madden domination of Buncey this year. The good news for Buncey is it seems Sam faltered a little with his QB play last week which had been quite good till that point as he threw 3 INTs. My honest guess is that Sam will win here but I can always hope that someone can crush Sams hopes and if that is our Long Haired Cowboys owner thats been mistaken for a girl a few times thats even better.
(Evo, 6-2) @ (Bos, 5-3)
Our final game of the week sees us look at the AFC South which has come a 3 horse race. In this game we have two of the best offences facing off against each other. Bos has put up some impressive wins in prior weeks but a win here would be his best achivement of the season as it would give him the best chance of winning the South. Evo on the other hand has also been playing well on defences as his been breaking QB's like Glass with picks and containing the running game quite well. I firmly believe that Evo is likely to win this game and will use this as the springboard to make it back to the Superbowl thats if Perrin doesn't damage the chances.
(Volki, 3-5) @ (PastUK, 5-3)
When I saw this game was on this week I couldn't let it not be included. Here we have last years coach of the season who proved to make huge waves with big wins over Perrin and got into the playoffs. Volki is looking to mimic Pats and has had some great results this year his defence seems to have improved with Perry proving to be a pain to all offences. Also lets not forget about A-Rod who has been in MVP like form in recent weeks. I think this game could go down to the wire and we are likely to see a shootout. But I'm calling it here Volki will win this one and if he continues this form he will have to be a shoe-in for coach of the year and he could even win the NFC North if resuls fall his way.
Thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed the article; look forward to seeing some of the results.
